North Borneo 1899 Provisional short set of six optd. "4/CENTS" (on 5c. to 24c.), perf 14½-15 except 4c. on 6c. and 4c. on 18c. (perf. 13½-14), all used on registered cover from Sandakan to Kenzingen, Germany, all tied "SANDAKAN/17/APL/1900" c.d.s., with reg. handstamp on face, and with '1.6.00' arrival backstamp. Minor imperfections (4c. on 6c. with few perfs shortened, and few light stains) but still good, attractive and scarce.
