Argentina - British P.O. 1868 (Dec 22) Stampless cover with red "BUENOS AYRES / PAID" c.d.s, prepaid 1/5 to Smithtown, via London, with red London Paid transit c.d.s (Feb 2) and "3d" accountancy mark, backstamped at St. John and W.O Smithtown (March 6, manuscript date). A few edge faults and tear at lower left edge, a very unusual destination from Argentina sent via G.B.

1840-58 Stampless entire letters (4) and a cover to G.B including 1840 letter from a former soldier in Frederickton to the War Office asking for an increase in his daily pension of 5d, with Halifax transit c.d.s, sent on the maiden return voyage of "Acadia"; 1841 letter from Cape Breton Island with circular "ANTIGONISH / N.S"; 1851 letter prepaid 1/- from St. John; 1858 cover with circular framed "6d" and experimental Liverpool "pins" triple arc arrival datestamp, etc. Also an 1894 2c postcard from a crew member of the Barque "Amaranth".
