1883 50c violet, type 4, lower marginal horizontal strip of 4, R5/1-4 on the sheet, showing variety 'Inverted L for first F in FIFTY' on second stamp (R5/2), brilliant large part o.g. The end stamps with some short perfs and unobtrusive vertical creases, but the centre pair with the variety very fine and unmounted. A rare and remarkable multiple.
