AIRMAILS - 1921-42 SELECTION OF FLOWN COVERS WITH SOME 1st FLIGHTS: 10 Mar. 1921 env. from St John's to Fogo with large "AIR POST FOGO" hs 26 Nov. 1921 env. from St John's to Halifax N.S. flown from Botwood bearing a single 35c Air Mail adhesive (SG 148f - £240 on cover). 1929 10th anniversary of the Alcock & Brown flight. 12 Nov. 1930 env. flown from North Sydney to St. John's by Sullivan & Fraser. 29 Jan. 1931 1st flight envelope from St John's to St Anthony. 21 July 1931 env. with "First Air Mail Corner Brook-St Johns" hs, 23 Aug. 1931 env. carried on the 1st official air mail from St John's to North Sydney with 10c & 50c adhesives. 1931 (Aug) envs. (2) with large cachets carried on the 1st St Pierre France to St John's flight, both with Maritime & Newfoundland Airways labels on reverse. 11 July 1933 env. carried on the 1st flight from Wabush to Katsao. 1 May 1942 envs. (2) carried on the 1st flight from Gander to St John's and Gander to Sydney N.S.
