U.S., E.F.O. Specialized Collection, 1847-2012, in 42 Lindner albums (which if you consult the Encyclopedia Galactica, you will note 42 also happens to be "the answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe and Everything"). The collection contains approximately 7,500 EFO's (EFO's in blocks and multiples counted as the numbers of stamps with the error, ie. a sheet of 50 with perf shifts will be counted as 50 EFO's). Stamps carefully arranged in denomination order on generic Lindner hingeless pages customized for the various sizes and varieties of errors and freaks abounding in this collection. Unlike many EFO collections that seem to be more of an accumulation, this collection appears well thought out with an amazing variety of issues, from early classical issues, to just touching the earliest forever denomination issue and everything in between. U.S., Old Time Collection 1845-1930's, hinged into small old time Scott album of quadrille pages, with notation in inside front cover, from Daddy - 1930, and obviously assembled with love over many decades with deep emotional attachment to the original collector's childhood, contains many of the better key stamps, from the first issues, to the various early classics with a few more difficult shades, to the Columbian and Trans-Mississippi commemorative sets that are always so popular through to the Graf Zeppelin set (that we like to think may have been purchased as new issues). U.S., Extensive CAM Cover Collection, over 1100 covers in all, neatly presented—and identified—in 19 slipcased Lindner hingeless albums; from CAM-1 to CAM-34 (no CAM-14, oddly), nearly the entirety of early US Airmail service is here; a wide variety of frankings throughout, with a large number of covers franked by #C10, but also including commemoratives, some stationery, airs, even one cover with 3¢ and 6¢ Columbians, and another with #65 and 114 (!), plus others with Special Delivery stamps and a few with Postage Dues; many familiar names, including Roessler, Nickles and Gorham; cachets galore, many with color varieties (the collector was nothing if not thorough), with an interesting mix of early airmail-design envelopes; note many First Flights, plus CAM-6 Last Flight Covers, crash covers (including one CAM-33 to Korea, plus, morbidly, others to the KB Pulverizer Company of New York and the Hartford Fire Insurance Company); most addressed within the Lower 48, but note also a CAM-19 cover to Cuba, a CAM-21 to the Canal Zone, CAM-22 with Mexico franking, a 1937 cover to Alaska, etc.; also scarce markings, etiquettes, and the like; in addition to the covers themselves, there are a solid number of photos of pilots (most signed) and crashes, several newspaper articles, airline labels, a piece of plane fabric from a crash with a signed affidavit, advertising collateral, and more; many, many covers signed by pilot and / or crew, including a CAM-2 signed by Lindbergh; generally fresh and clean, though a couple binders are overstuffed with broken ring mechanisms, a Very Fine cover collection, ex-Lee Downer.
