RARE QV EXPRESS POSTCARD TO GUERNSEY WITH RARE "GUERNSEY/M.O.O" C.D.S., ETC.; 27 Dec. 1900 usage of the QV ½d Brown Postal Stationery PC (some slight staining on the front) uprated with Jubilee 2½d+½d tied & cancelled by 3 v. fine "DERBY/242" duplexes and addressed to "Ville au Roi, Guernsey" but also having a red "M.--No.55./POSTA OFFICE/EXPRESS" label (slightly wrapped round the edge at left) and blue crayon lines. It has a very fine rare "GUERNSEY/M.O.O." cds on the front and is endorsed "N.A. 7.35am" at top left. Presumably this means "No Answer", and indicates that the card was then delivered later in the day. The message concerns the sudden cancellation of a Christmas visit to the island - due to mumps.
