Commencing with PPCs depicting 'Lord of the Isles' 1 & 2 inc. 1907 & 1910 PPCs to Lancashire both having the oval R.M.S. "Lord of the Isles" cachet in black or violet. Collection continues with a range of PPCs depicting various Hutcheson/MacBrayne steamers inc. 1900s PPCs with Greenock & Ardrishaig Packet cancels. Various covers and cards relating to modern MacBrayne steamers and a file containing PPCs depicting ships of the P & O service to Orkney & Shetland. A fourth volume contains cards and a few covers relating to Hovercraft Mail, Schools Cruise Ship Service and Holy Loch Submarine Base. An interesting collection. Worth examination.
