image GIBRALTAR. 1827. CHICLANA (Cádiz, Spain) to MALTA. Entire letter sent via the British Consulate at Cadiz. B.C./CADIZ mark and fine red GIBRALTAR arc. At this time Cadiz was blockaded by French Ships, the British Packets could not call at Cadiz to collect mail. Instead it was courriered to Gibraltar for onward transmission. Charged ´6´ on arrival. A VERY RARE cover, only two known with both marks. (Image1)
