France, 1870 (Nov 24), Ballon Monté, Ville d'Orléans (Scott BM33), formular Ballon Monté letter sheet to Raubaix clearly postmarked "Paris/ Pl. de la Bourse", Nov 23, but with stamp missing, backstamped Raubaix, Dec 5, Fine. This flight landed in Norway after a rough and stormy voyage, during which it became necessary to throw some mail overboard to lighten the load.
