569var, 30¢ OLIVE BRN, LS MGN BLK/9 (from UR pane #16065) CENTER STAMP W/DOUBLE TRANSFER (Pos. #52), Fine-Avg NH. Very dramatic DT which affects the entire RS of the stamp, but is most easily visible in the LR "30" & "POSTAGE". We estimate that a maximum of about 24,000 of these could have been printed (probably less), which is scarcer than the $5 Columbian (#245 w/27,000 printed) and the $2.60 Zeppelin (#C15 w/61,000 printed), so very scarce! Using Scott's multiplier of 2.2 for regular #569 hinged to NH stamps would give this sgl stamp a cv of $900, but we feel that this would be a very conservative price.
