Extensive collection in eleven Hagner albums with a huge array of material but most of it is at the lower end of the scale and with plenty of duplication. The strength is in the few hundred covers where we noted registered, express & Priority Paid items. Condition is rather variable but there are numerous very fine to superb strikes and close inspection is sure to yield up lots of little nuggets. Includes Hopson & Tobin's work in four volumes.

Sydney: Extensive collection in six Hagner albums of the numbered duplexes and circular datestamps with some 19th century material but predominantly 1930s to 1960s, the higher numbers mostly on FDCs, numerous covers including advertising and some postal stationery, also noted 1914 Guillaux flight card, plus an array of commercial perfins with a couple on cover, condition very mixed, but that presents an opportunity to develop into an appealing and significant collection. Excellent group of World War II Military PO covers including '...BENDIGO', '...BENDIGO No2', 'M.O. MIL PO DARLEY' (commercial), '...FISHERMAN'S BEND', '...LYSTERFIELD HILLS', 'WATSONIA' and '...WERRIBEE' plus registered covers from '...BALCOMBE', '...CAMP PELL', '...GEELONG No 1', '...SEYMOUR/ 1 ', '...SEYMOUR/ 3 ', '...SEYMOUR/ 4 ', '...TORQUAY' and 'RELIEF/VIC-AUST-34' used at Seymour Mil PO No 5; and a few RAAF POs including '...ASCOT VALE', '...BALLARAT' (registered), '...SANDRIDGE' and '...SOMERS' (OHMS), finally commercial 'CAPE OTWAY/VIC' cover with 'NAVAL SERVICE' cachet (a small unit was based at the lighthouse). Extremely difficult to assemble, with many of the cds being rare.

Melbourne: 1900-1970s numbered datestamps in ten Hagner albums in two cartons, lots of duplication which, at least in the 1910-36 period is very useful for studying the various states of many of these markings, good numbers of official & commercial perfins, handy postal history element with better usages noted, condition very mixed. [Here is the opportunity to get in on the ground floor before everybody learns how scarce many of these markings are when the long-awaited 'Datestamps of Melbourne' by Gary Watson is published in 2024]
