Lot No: 9008
Symbol:

image 1861, stampless cover, slave carried, by slave Henry from one of the Cobb plantations to Macon, GA, in 1861, endorsed "per/Henry & horse" so that if stopped, he would not be thought escaping with a stolen horse, incredibly interesting and unusual, a wonderful intersection of postal and slave history; couple of insignificant cover flaws, still a Very Fine cover.
