1864 (Aug. 23), cover sent via B&O Railroad, from Paw Paw [WV] to Mulberry, OH, a lovely cover bearing 3¢ #65 (slightly toned) canceled by eight-bar killer in blue, with matching oval "B. & O. R.R./AUG23/1864/Paw-Paw" handstamp at lower left; the postmaster at Paw Paw, Jacob Ziller, also served as the B&O's ticket clerk; hinge remnants on back, nevertheless Very Fine, a rare cover, which is noted on back: "This Cover Is Guaranteed As Genuine By [signed] Stanley B. Ashbrook", "Siegel" penciled on reverse. (Image)
