image Confederacy, Confederate States of America, Ephraim Bowman Correspondence, 1861-1865, 30+ covers, without letters, from 4th Regiment Va. Militia, starting from early 1861 issues, with January pre-succussion as the Militia's started to form franked with Union stamps or stationary, continuing through the early Confederate issues franked with Scott 1 (2 covers), 1 and 4 on single cover, 4 pair on cover and a couple other issues, mostly stampless, some of which have occasional due or paid markings, two repurposed "Morris Brigade/ Official Business" covers with corner card and official business crossed off of each cover, some rough condition, as you typically see with many covers of this distressed wartime region, very interesting for the Confederate Specialist, generally F.-V.F.

image Iran, Compilation of Censored Covers, 1942-45, approximately 90 housed in three flip-page cover albums; mostly from Tehran to the US (one is to Palestine and another to England), with a few incoming from Lebanon and Turkey; all bear various values, showing censor cachets, tapes or labels, including "Anglo-Soviet-Persian/Censorship", Russian Cyrillic, and British "[Crown]/Passed/DH…" censor handstamps, one with "Not Examined/Iraq Censorship" bilingual framed handstamp in violet, F.-V.F. or better.

image Russia, Tsarist Postal History Selection, 1825-1917, approximately 120 items neatly arrayed in two-sided two-pocket pages in a solid three-ring binder; earliest items are Tsarist decrees on folded letter sheets, one with large "K.P./Riga" handstamp across flap; small selection of additional stampless covers followed by Coat-of-Arms and Romanov issue frankings; strong in WWI era material, with numerous Censors and POW cards and envelopes, plus several Army cancels; usages both domestic and foreign, with destinations as varied as Nashville, TN, and Rasht, Iran; generally clean and sound, though degree of usage wear varies, F.-V.F. with better, an interesting lot.
