1882 Postal stationery registered envelope 4d. blue, largest size k (292x152 mm) used from Williston and sent to the Royal Württemberg Premier-Lieutnant Hochstetter, 8th Royal Württemberg Infantry Regiment No. 126 in Strassburg in 1884, cancelled by "FRASERBURG/DE 6/84" cds, uprated 'Hope' 1d., 3d. and three of 4d. all tied by "C/GH" triangle obliterator, with oval h/s "R", "WILLISTON/DE 5/84" despatch cds, red 'Registered Letter Cape Town 10 DE 84' and oval 'London 31 DE 84' transit datestamps. The large envelope with a central vertical fold otherwise good with usual small traces of usage/ageing. Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium. (Image)
