1840-1970 MINT & USED COLLECTION: Presented in pair of SG "Windsor Sovereign" 22-ring luxury printed albums in light brown, red & gold, with matching slip case. All stamps are in mounts, QV-KGV mostly used, then mostly unmounted from 1934 re-engraved Seahorses onwards. Beginning with fine 4 margin 1840 1d black KL, two 1840 2d blues, both v. fine 4 margin examples with complete red MXs, range of other line engraved issues inc. 1d plates to 224, 6d & 1/- embossed and a useful range of surface printed with plate varieties, inc. 1867 5/- & 1883 to 5/-, full set of 1883/84 green & lilacs with good 9d value; KGV section relatively sparse but inc 1934 re-engraved set to 10/- unmounted mint; continued through KGVI with a high degree of completion inc. both KGVI high value defin. sets unmounted mint. 1840-84 SELECTION inc. 1840 1d plate 4 KA close at left, red MX cancellation. 2d plate 1 PC cancelled in black and 1841 2d plate 3 (3). 1847 6d embossed cut square. ½d plate 6 GI mint. 1855-57 4d (2), 6d & 1/-. 1862 3d to 6d & 1/-, 1865 3d to 1/- 1867-80 3d, 6d, 9d 10d, 1/- & 2/-., 1883-84 lilac & green ½d to 1/- set, mint with faults.
