image Scandinavia, The Noon at Midnight Collection, 1850-1986, on Vintage reproduction pages (Denmark and Iceland on Scott Specialty pages through 1986) in blue International binder through 1955, both used and mint (some never hinged but most o.g.) with a few issues parallel mint and used; with perforation varieties, shades and nice postal cancels; from 1930s-or-so virtually complete with long runs of complete sets; some highlights: fabulous Danish West Indies, including (used): #2, 6a, 7b, 7c, 8b, 10, 10b, 10c, 11, 16, 28a, etc. (mint o.g.): #5, 49-50, 51-58; Denmark (used): #2-4, 11-15, 14b, 16-20, 25-34, 79-81, 82, 135, 142-154, C3, C5, C6-10; #1¢-2 mint o.g.; #C4 mint never hinged, plus strong Postage Dues, Newspapers, Parcel Posts and Officials; Finland many classics from #2 on in usual mixed condition, but higher quality examples include (used): #7, 9, 22-24, 23a, 29-30, many perforation and shade varieties, etc.; Semi-Postals virtually complete; Greenland (mint o.g. unless noted): #10-18, 19-27, Q6-Q8, Q4 used; very extensive Iceland (90% complete), such as (used): 5, 12, 137-138, 148, 149, 150 (mint o.g.): #3, 7, C1-C2, C3, C4-C8, C15-C20, and major Officials, such as #O9-O11 mint; beautiful Norway, including (Used): #1 (x2), 3-5, 9-12, 18-21, 64-66, 67-69, and (mint o.g.) #32-34; 20th century is just about complete, with Semi-Postals apparently complete mint; Sweden begins with classics in fairly mixed condition but 20th century is largely complete, and we note (used): #197-208, 213-226, generally Fine to Very Fine, plumped up with thousands of different nice stamps from this traditionally popular area.

image Scandinavia, Collection, 1851-1987, in three Scott Specialty albums, mostly used, with sections of duplicates for nearly every section (except no duplication of modern issues), with many better classic issues, including some of the difficult perf varieties that are often seen on some of these classic Scandinavian countries, contains many key and higher values that are often missing from most collections, better items consist of Danish West Indies: 11, 31-39, Denmark: 2 (2), 3, 8, 11-14, 19-20, good numerals, 65-69, 82, 135, 136-37, 145-54 with heavy duplication, 164-75, 181-91, C1, C3, Finland: great selection of serpentine roulette coat of arms issues, good 1875-89 coat of arms issues, 56, 75, 83-110, good semi postals to 1955, Greenland: 10-18, 19-27, Thule set, Iceland: many early numeral issues, 34-44B, 66-68, 71-85, 86-91, 92-98, 99-107, Christian X set, 152-66, 213-16 (2 mint sets), 232-35 mint, B5 (2), C2-3, C4-8 mint, C11 mint, O53-62, O67, Norway: 9, 11, 15, many posthorns, 340-42, B1-3, J7-12, a page of interesting revenue and locals, Sweden: 4, 6-11, 14, highly complete numerals, 197-212 mint, 213-28 mint, B11, B12-20, J1-11, J12-22, O12-25 and mostly complete 1910 officials, as with most used classics, expect some faults, generally Fine to Very Fine appearance, high value, adding up to substantial Scott value.
