At upper left, private straight-line h/s "SWAINS ISLAND" & signed "Paul T. Diefenderfer". Fine. Swain's Island is geographically part of the Tokelau group & was ceded to the USA by GB in 1925

At upper left, private straight-line h/s "SWAINS ISLAND" & signature "A.E. Jennings" (owner of the island, site of coconut plantation). Also with very partial Apia (Samoa) cds 24 NO 31 (on edge of cover). Readdressed to Fullerton, Pa., USA (Then Laureldale, Pa.). Fine. Swains Island is geographically part of the Tokelau group & was ceded to the USA by GB in 1925.
