1840-1970 MINT & USED COLLECTION IN SG "SIMPLEX" ALBUM: Includes fine 4 margin 1840 1d black KK with light red MX and a 3 margin example with red MX of fine appearance; group of 1841 2d blues inc. strip of 4 and later perf. types; group of 15 imperf. 1d reds inc. 5 with London 'number in MX' cancels, various other 1d reds with die & perf. vars. identified and several pages of 1d red plates (c.135 used) inc. mint block of 6, mint & used ½d bantams (14), etc. Fine surface printed range plus 1883-84 'green & lilacs' (less the 9d); high values from 2/6d (2) to 10/- and range of used Officials; KEVII inc. defin. set to 1/- mint and to 5/- used; fine range of Downey Heads mint & used with shade vars. and several examples of the 'missing crown' var. plus later KGV defin sets both mint & used with used Seahorses to 10/-; basic KGVI range, but high values are used, also good range of QEII Castles mint & used, etc. Also Postage Dues. LARGE STOCK BOOK housing a much duplicated, all reigns used collection. Much mint predecimal QEII, mainly lower denominations, and used (but unfranked) decimal issues. We note three 1840 1d blacks, all with 3 margins or less and with faults. Also three 1840 2d blues, two with faults, but one appears to be a good 4 margin example with attractive red MX. SEVEN SG "WINDSOR" 22-RING LUXURY PRINTED ALBUMS: Set of 6 albums in dark red with gilt lettering, with slip cases each accommodating 2 albums. Inscribed Volumes I-VI and with printed pages covering the period 1840-2002. Volume I contains a very sparse collection with little of note other than a 3 margin 1840 1d black, QV Jubilee set mint to 1/- value, 1924 & 1925 Wembley issues mint and a range of mint & used KGVI issues.
