(stamps washed off) from Buenos Aires with spectacular v. fine giant purple N.320227a "Accident d'Avion/Correspondences recuilles en mer/NE PAS TAXER" (only recorded in black by Nierinck) on reverse; the plane crashed off the coast of Brazil & the mail was washed up on a beach near Sarita. Plus June 1935 fine env. to Switzerland with Brazil $3.50 & $7 tied by Bahia machine but from Tornado forced down in sea (N.350629) and taken on by SS Westphalen's seaplane, being refuelled by Graf Zeppelin en route across the Atlantic. "I once had an exciting afternoon in the Strand & sold a stamp for £100!! it was the blue 4d Western Australia with swan inverted, but only has that sort of luck once" .
