1936 (Feb. 5-12) Imperial Airways Singapore to Nigeria flight, covers from Singapore to Kano, a Feb. 5th cover inscribed "First through Air mail from Malaya to Nigeria via Khartoum" franked 55c, a second cover of Feb. 12th inscribed "First Air Mail, Singapore-Nigeria" franked 70c, both covers backstamped at Kano on Feb. 22nd. Posted a week apart but both delayed en route, catching the third flight from Khartoum to Nigeria. Scarce, the first Singapore flight covers to reach Nigeria, very little mail flown on either date.
