MacRobertson Air Race. 1934 (Oct. 18) Registered air cover from Schwerin, Germany, to Soerabaja franked 15pf + 80pf air stamps, inscribed "Berlin-London-Singapore By Air Race London-Melbourne only to Singapore", with Berlin, Singapore (Oct. 29) and Soerabaja backstamps. Probably just diverted to the Imperial Airways regular service which left the same day as the race started and arrived in Singapore on the 29th. An unusual souvenir of this race with a Singapore connection.
