Scott $15,000. Estimate $15,000 - 20,000
According to Max Johl, the first government coils were an experiment, and most collectors and dealers were unaware of their existence. Regularly prepared sheets of 400 were printed and then perforated in only one direction, being cut into strips of 20. The strips were then assembled by hand into rolls. Due to these factors, centering was generally to one side leaving very few high quality examples. Suggested Bid $15,000-20,000 (Image)
