1936 (Jan. 14), American Airlines AM-23 Crash Cover, Goodwin, AR, missing adhesives, with address and pre-flight markings showing water damage (as expected, since the plane came down in a swamp); New York, N.Y., Jan. 14, 1936 duplex survives clear, with four-line "Damage" cachet in violet applied where stamps should have been; horizontal tear affecting about one-quarter of backflap, still Very Fine.
