image Canada Post Office Hand Operated Canceling Machine, circa 1970s, Model K, manufactured by Pitney Bowes. The machine is in good working condition with the dater hub indicating it was previously used in the Millbrook, Ont. Post Office (see photo of impression made by machine). Prior to 1971, small post offices were not usually supplied with canceling machines. Mail from these offices was cancelled with handstamps. These machines are rarely offered for auction in this condition. (Image)
