Foochow, 1896 (Aug. 16), combination cover from Foochow to Meriden, Conn., U.S.A., bearing 1¢ green Foochow, cancelled by "Postal Service Foochow/China" c.d.s., along with Japanese 5s Koban, which is cancelled by "Shanghai/SEP 1/96 /I.J.P.O." c.d.s.; cover travelled through the Shanghai Local Post, with reverse showing red 31 Aug transit, plus additional transits of Yokohama (7.9) and Vancouver (23.9), with Meriden (28.9) receiver; front shows lovely corner card of "Rev. J.H. Worley/Methodist Episcopal Mission/Foochow, China", fresh, Very Fine, a delightful and scarce combination cover, signed Tyler.
