Group of 12 Different Fake Cents Issue Progressive Die Proofs by Gregory Prosser, consisting of the 5c Beaver with 5 progressive engraved die proofs (various colours, papers and sizes), plus an enlarged sunk-in die proof of the issued stamp (not by Prosser). The 10c Consort is present with four different engraved progressive die proofs (various sizes, papers and degrees of progression). Also includes a vignette die proof of Jacques Cartier's portrait and a die proof of a Rawdon Wright Hatch & Edson business card. A lovely and rarely offered group, would be great collateral for Cents issue or forgery collections. Comes with a photocopy of a newspaper article on these "Montréal" forgeries. (Image)
