We counted 3 "First Cents" covers, two 5c and a 10c with crowned House of Commons on front (Davis #CP-1) and an unusual double circle "MONTREAL POST OFFICE / C.E" datestamp on back (AM / DE 18 67). Also counted 44 QV franked covers (majority SQ) with all sorts of frankings, usages, postmarks, some registered, etc. Also noted a purple Montreal 1893 c.d.s alongside a purple "RECEIVED WITHOUT CONTENTS" handstamp, some nice fancy postmarks, advertising, flags, a wrapper with 1c SQ, a Coaticook oval datestamp, and much more. Five QV era stationery cards, another 12 covers from the 1900s to the 30s, with a nice Nascopie cover ("NON P.O. POINT", River Clyde N.W.T.), censored, WWII re-used cover, postage due, lovely 5c Royal Williams FDC and more. We noted a few uprated 1890s covers, a good quantity of early cards with advertising on back, good number of Jubilee cards, lots of postmark interest, with squared circles, many machine cancelled, slogans, etc. Overall fine to very fine. Group of 10 Queen Victoria Stationery Cards, with Some Better, note a lovely strike of Arva Ont. on a Jubilee card, a 1c QV card with very fine strikes of Kingston and Goderich squared circles on front, a scarce 1891 Woodstock Ont unofficial duplex (with "10" in killer), an 1891 1c blue card with a very nice strike of the desirable "BLYTH" fancy cancel, an 1897 Toronto flag to Waterford with squared circle receiver on front, three 1c cards uprated with a 1c SQ, (two to Germany, one with illustrated Niagara falls on back, and one to France) and a few more, some with advertising on back. An Original Correspondence of About 750 Stationery Cards, mostly all mailed int he 1890s to a general merchant in Le Bic (Québec), from a recently discovered find, this lot includes a variety of postmarks (small offices, RPOs, c.d.s. and duplex), many from the Québec "bas du fleuve" region.
