image Two ½c Large Queens on 1873 Advertising Cover, a yellow envelope with advertising corner card mailed from Flesherton on FEB.5.1873 to Eugenia, franked with two ½c Large Queen singles, paying the printed matter rate. The previous owner was under the impression that these stamps were precancelled at the Flesherton post office, as this may have been part of a larger mailing from J.W. Henderson, who was the Township Clerk of Artemesia, Insurance Agent, Agent for the Owen Sound Marble Works and Licensed Auctioneer for the County of Grey (busy fellow). Missing its backflap, still interesting with a very fine appearance. Ex. "G. Marnier" collection. (Image)
