China, Outstanding Martyrs Issue Exhibition Collection, 1932-42, painstakingly researched and beautifully presented, this five-frame (80-page) exhibit shows how even a "common" or "run-of-the-mill" issue can be submitted to a rigorous treatment; organized chronologically (Peking Prints, Hong Kong Prints, and New Peking "Imitative" Prints) and then by denomination, tracing the history of this issue from its inception to the start of the Japanese Occupation overprints; includes production properties and varieties (paper, gum, perforation varieties), plate flaws and other production anomalies, postal markings (small towns, airmail, railway and ocean services), FAM flight covers, censors, perfins, fraudulent uses, and more; significant items noted by red borders, unfinished imperforate or part-perforate items by blue; presented in a solid clamshell case housed in an equally sturdy shipping box, accompanied by four-page synopsis; a years-long labor of love and searching, offering the finest examples of singles, blocks and multiples, plate markings, and commercial covers illustrating rates, routes, uses and markings, Extremely Fine, Extremely Fine, words cannot do this holding justice, so it is imaged in full online; viewing a must to appreciate how this exhibit breathes new life into these Martyrs. China, "Great Scott!" Mint & Used Collection in Scott Albums, 1878-1985, Four Scott Specialty albums, all in excellent condition with stamps in clear mounts. Covers both Imperial / Republic of China (1878-1968) and the People's Republic of China (1949-85) with pages for both up to 1996. The Imperial end is well-filled with some Dragons, Dowagers with and without surcharge, and numerous Sun-Yat-sens, Junks and wartime surcharges. The PRC, on the other hand, is sporadically filled, but better sets & singles are indeed tucked away, as well as some original printings, as opposed to the usual reprints. Mint highlights include #1-4, 5-6, 60, 62, 72-73, 1122-25, 1126-29, 1130, 1207a, 1354-56. In addition, a small collection of Manchukuo and all the pages for the Japanese Occupation and Liberated Areas with about 100 stamps, generally Fine to Very Fine, additional images online.
