1845 5c Washington Postmaster's Provisional Sperati Forgery, a rare stamp with four large margins and "ACM" initials in red, tied to small piece by two forged "PAID" cancels in red plus small "Copie" handstamp (with second strike on back). The piece is also signed "Jean de Sperati" in pencil on back. There is a small thin (seen from back) still a rare and lovely example of one of this master forger's best work. The Special Delivery section is well represented, missing only a few stamps, and the Postage Dues start with a J1, then nearly complete from J79-86 (no J84) and from 1959-1985 and a full sheet of #J83. Large United States Cover and Postage Lot, from Classics to 2019. This group includes two very large volumes of the Golden Replicas of United States Stamps with FDCs from 1993 to 1995, featuring gold-plated medallions of the stamp mounted inside each (140 pcs.). Also included are annual stamp collections from 1972 to 1986. These are complete, for the most part, with a few years duplicated. There is also a collection of stamps, comprised mostly of multiples plus various covers filling two clean Safe binders with slipcases. Although there are many used stamps throughout this stamp collection; we have carefully counted only the mint stamps at 10c or higher to come up with a total of over $200 in postage.
