Sparks Auctions Sale: 46

Canada
Province of Québec

Sale No: 46
Lot No: 1275
Symbol: Cvr
Cat No: Collection

image Group of Roughly 80 Province of Québec Postcards, 1907-1940's, includes 12 Patriotic post cards, and 6 real photo post cards. We estimate 30% of the cards are unused with some of the used cards from smaller towns. The subject matter on the fronts are varied, noting buildings, waterways and ships, with the majority of cards franked with Edward VII and George V stamps. We note a few small faults with corner bends and some wear, along with a few used cards missing the stamps. An interesting group of scenes. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

image Group of Roughly 110 Province of Québec Covers, 1890s-1960s, in a small box and includes some used postcards. A cursory check of material indicated a wide range of collecting interests including: Airmails (we note a few commercial covers along with a 1928 Rimouski flight cover to Toronto with 3 line boxed cachet), Special Delivery, military mail, corner cards, registration, along with a 6c Large Queen cover. We note Squared Circle and small towns postmarks on covers, along with a glassine of Squared Circle postmarks (mostly Small Queens), a glassine of Duplex postmarks, and a 2-row stock card of primarily Victorian postmarks on stamp. Many of the items have been priced for retail, generally ranging from $5 to $30. Online photos show an overview of this interesting lot. We note a few small faults, overall fine to very fine.
