Cat No: 10 Cash 1900
China: Extremely Rare 1900-DATED, 10 Cash, Peking Fantasy Brass, CCC-772, NGC Graded MS 61. The NGC Census has a Population of "1". (Hsu-422), If this is a fantasy, it is an old one, as it is mentioned in Woodward, wherein he notes (p. 149), "A neat coin ostensibly having been made for circulation in Peking, but which, after a few trial pieces had been minted, was discarded as unsuitable, because the fact was undoubtedly recognized that had the principle of a coin for a city been given effect, all the cities in China would have claimed the same privilege. Let us be thankful that the piece was not approved." Sharply struck with excellent definition of the fine details. Handsome chocolate brown throughout, the coin boasts a charismatic bronze patina with earthen hues. High relief details accentuate and enhance the eye appeal of this rarity., This is the only example graded in the NGC census and only 2 examples have appeared at auction in 2018, both graded by PCGS. This could very possibly be the only example available. Est. HK$50,000-75,000
