image EXTENSIVE LIFETIME PNC STAMP AND COVER COLLECTION, thousands of mint and used with an exceptional showing of used on covers contained in 21 large three ring binders, this collection was formed over many years and is quite extensive in terms of scope and completeness in this area, there are mint and used singles, pairs, strips and line pairs and strips all with the various plate numbers for each issue, the collector has broken out the Transportation Series, Flags and the other areas into individual albums, the overall quality in mixed and there are faults but for the most part a pretty clean collection, there are some better used plate numbers here like plate #6 on the 18c Flag, the very important key to this collection is the number of covers present, we cannot overstate this in terms of value since there are many, many covers with retail values in the $5-25 range which in this area makes these covers scarce, we can't imagine how many hours the collector spent looking for these PNC covers through huge hoards of bulk cover lots but we can assure you it was hundreds and hundreds of hours but the work is now done and here they all are in one amazing collection, we suspect if someone sat down with a Scott catalog or a Nazar catalog there would be tens of thousands of dollars in catalog value in this huge collection, we feel that at our estimate of $200 an album a buyer is getting a steal with a huge potential upside, without question the most extensive PNC collection we have ever handled, (ENV 4,000-5,000) (Image)
