Japan, Sprawling Collection, 1871-2008. Filling 12 albums in total: seven White Ace Japan, two White Ace Prefectures (all slipcased); two Scott Specialty binders: one with "The 20th Century" miniature sheets, 1950-90 Lottery sheets and duplicates and miscellanies, the second with a selection of Offices, Manchuria, WWII Occupations and Ryukyus (mint, including Currency Conversion issue); a binder of never hinged sheets (miniature and souvenir, Lottery and National Parks), plus a red box of glassines in catalogue number order with duplicates (vast majority used); main Japan collection is highly complete, from #1 (some good, some maybe not), with a wealth of cancellation types to review; pre-1940 is a mix of mint and used, 1940-1980s is mint, and mid-1980s on is again used—including singles from the ubiquitous recent miniature sheets and the Prefectures issues, complete less a single stamp or two; note good to solid Dragons, Cherry Blossoms and Chrysanthemums, #222 and 234 New Year stamps, 422 (2), 422a, 423, 448b, 456, 457, 479 (2), 479a, 517a, 564a, 572a, 575a, etc., etc., Fine to Very Fine with better.
