About 50 mint stamps still on original auction pages (20+) and dealer cards or in glassines; lots of good stamps and plenty with original gum and/or authentication; includes Scott numbers (o.g. unless noted) 1a, 1b (signed A. Diena), 1d (no gum), 2, 4b (toned, Sismondo certificate), 5a, 6, 7, 7c (no gum, Sismondo certificate), 9 (Sismondo certificate), 10 (no gum, thin, Sismondo certificate), 20a (badly toned since Sismondo certificate). All-in-all, a very worthwhile lot if you're looking for better-than-usual Roman States.

In two leather-bound stockbooks; arranged by denomination and identified by Rattone's Manual-Catalogue of the Stamps of Sardinia number, with color photocopy from Bolaffi catalogue denoting shades, with mint or used actual examples mounted below (most items used with some on piece); highly complete, offering a fascinating reference for the specialist—and an object lesson in differences between catalogue color reproduction and the actual printed stamps; condition throughout is sound, with many wonderfully centered examples, Fine to Very Fine+, a must-see, for dealer and collector alike, valuable stamps and an invaluable reference.
