image Great Britain, "Head Hunter" Highly Specialised Machin Head Collection, 1967-99, Since the stamp's debut in 1967, the sculpted profile of QEII, Britain's longest-reigning monarch, has been printed over 200 billion times making it quite simply the most reproduced piece of art in the history of the world. Despite these high numbers, some are actually quite scarce as specialists collect a wide range of varieties far beyond the colours and perforations including printing methods, types, gum & phosphor varieties, etc. This lovely homemade collection on quadrille pages has stamps ranging from the 10½p to 20p, each in a black mount and meticulously identified along with catalogue number referencing the Deegam Handbook. As a bonus, a collection of FDCs for the pre-decimal Machins including the "Stamps for Cooks" booklet along with various se-tenant combinations. You can see it all online by clicking on the link, Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 7 lbs. (Video for this lot) (Video2 for this lot) (Video3 for this lot) (Image)
