image France, Fabulous Confabulation of a Collection, 1849-2006. Mounted in three albums (all Scott, all slipcased), virtually complete from Cérès and Napoléon to cartoons and Babar; used through 1974, mint never hinged thereafter; everything is here: regular issues, Semi-Postals, Airs, Dues, Military Franchise, a few Newspapers, Council of Europe, etc., etc.; cumulative catalogue value is immense, with a great deal of face value in the past 40-odd years' worth of material—much of it in Euros, as we find nearly all the booklets, miniature & souvenir sheets, and other multiples and collectibles that France has issued; the three volumes are stunning, and far too vast to list all the goodies they contain, but a few to wet your whistle: used #1 (3 large, one well-clear margin), 10 (as pretty as they come), 24, 37, 41, 46; a grand selection of Sage, Merson and Sower types; C16-C17 used, along with the 1946-50 Allegorical and Pictorial Airmail sets; #329 with four corner Exposition cancels, and the chance to compare as many Mariannes as you'd like, a condition issue here or there, but generally Fine to Very Fine with much better, be sure to view.
