image Worldwide, Old-Time Collection, 1840-1928. Housed in three Scott International Brown bound albums, with Volume 1 covering the 19th century and Volumes 2 & 3 (covered in a supple leather) the 20th century to 1928; mint and used throughout; coverage varies, as is to be expected, but this is a solid worldwide collection with very few weak points; we note Great Britain from #1-4, a few embossed issues, strong surface-printed issues, and a nice overall degree of completion; good China with Dragons (Large, Small and Coiling), mint Dowagers and overprints, a mix of mint and used Red Revenues, and light duplication; France with 5F Napoleon; nice Latin America (including Argentine and Colombian States—the latter particularly nice), good States and Colonies; strong Italy, solid arrays of Egypt and Iran; U.S. from 1857 issues, with good Bank Notes, Columbians and Trans-Mississippis both to the 50¢ value, plus some pretty Officials and mint and used Confederates; also features less commonly seen material, such as a few Afghanistan, Russian-sphere Crete, fairly full Haiti, better than usual India and States, etc., etc., etc.; 19th Century volume showing wear and tear, 20th Century volumes still sound, generally Fine to Very Fine, an absolute must-see to determine its true extent.
