image Group of Roughly 80 Small Queen Covers, 1870-1890s, in a small box, with the majority of the covers franked with a 3c Small Queen. We noted about a dozen covers dated 1870 or 1871 plus about the same number of covers franked with a 3c rose carmine (41a, 41i), primarily from Ontario, and a few from Québec and New Brunswick. A cursory check of postmarks indicated a number of broken circles (including smaller towns), double broken circles, and a few 2-rings (including a nice #21 from Goderich), along with registration and a drop letter rate. Many of the covers are sleeved and a few priced for retail. We note a few small faults, including a few fronts (not included in our count). Online scans show a representation of the lot.
