image Accumulation of Mint Never Hinged Plate Blocks, 1940s-1980s, consisting of seven plate block albums, containing many hundreds of plate blocks (including some matched sets). We note a few King George VI plate blocks, with the vast majority in the Elizabethan era. Face value totaled at $748 (counting 10c on up only, with the vast majority in the 17c-35c range). We estimate an additional $50 to $100 worth of face with lower value stamps. The lot also includes a few booklets and multiples. Online photos show a representation of the lot. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

image Dealer Stock of Mint Plate Blocks and Matched Sets, 1950s to 1980s, consisting of roughly 2,500 black stock cards or 104 cards housed in primarily red boxes, with each card having one or more plate blocks, and 30-40% of the cards having matched sets of four different corners. The vast majority of the blocks are from the mid 1950s to the 1980s, with strength in the 1960s to 1970s, though there are some pre-1950 plate blocks, including a few War Issue and Special Delivery issues. There is much duplication in this clean and well-presented, though somewhat disorganized stock. We note that the lot does not appear to have the higher denomination values. Online photos gives an overview of this clean lot. Overall, very fine. (Image)

image Collection of 240 Mint Officials Plate Blocks, consisting of a good array of different overprinted Officials (mostly G but also some O.H.M.S.) in black stock pages and in glassines. We note that many are in matched sets of corner plate blocks and there are many better items such as $1 Totem (x14), $1 Train Ferry (x1), 50c Oil Wells (x4), $1 Fisherman (x1), etc. It should be noted that our catalogue value is very conservative, as no premiums have been added to very fine, or never hinged items, so actual catalogue value will be much higher. A spot check of dozens of items revealed that the great majority are never hinged, some higher values with light hinge marks or staple holes (in the margin). A nice quality group. (Image)
