image Stock of Used and Off-Paper Mix, starting with many thousands of stamps from 1940s to 2001, sorted by issue, in a few hundred glassines. We noted many nice postmarks throughout including on about thirty Year of the Snake souvenir sheets. Followed by tens of thousands of unsorted used stamps, mostly from the 1950s to mid 1990s, filling one medium size plastic container. A cursory look revealed a mixture of commemoratives and definitives, with some back of the book such as airmails, postage dues, also some federal revenues, Newfoundland issues and the odd worldwide stamp presence. The whole lot of off paper (including the container) weighs in at 9.8 pounds. (Image)

image Old Time Collection and Correspondence, being an old family accumulation just discovered, filling a bulging 32 page stockbook. Most of the value is in the three pages full of mint never hinged issues of the Jubilees, Québecs and Maps, mostly all fresh, including a very fine centered block of 4 of #99 ($1,800, with some separation), the rest of the Québecs are mostly very good to fine centered and includes 5c (x5), 10c (x7), 15c (x5) and 20c. The Jubilees are mostly very good to fine centered and includes 1c (x3), 2c, 3c (x3), 5c, 8c (x16 including a block of 6) and 50c. We also counted 28 Map stamps, as well as a number of earlier Queen Victorias, including three 3c Small Queens, Numerals and more. Some of the stamps listed above have gum skips or bends, etc, still there are many fresh and sound stamps with a high total catalogue value. The rest of the stockbook includes a correspondence (QV era to Admirals, with stationery cards and covers, most of which were roughly opened and faulty, but includes a few F2 registered covers, advertising and Nova Scotia postmark interest), plus some used GB and Canada, some on piece, etc. We have scanned many pages for your convenience. image Extensive and Valuable Mint Collection in a Thick Lighthouse Album, left intact by us, and is loaded with better valuable and interesting material. The collection starts off with a mix of mint and used to the Cents issues, then mint to the end starting with the Large Queens. We note four used #4 (incl. a pair), nice used #5, used #8, unused #8 (faulty), used #7, two pages of mint and used Cents issues, a page of mostly mint Large Queens, two pages of mint Small Queens to the 50c, mint Jubilees to the $3 (missing the $2) with many extra copies, then appears complete to 1972. The main collection is enhanced with items such as Admiral booklet panes and coils, 1927 issues in imperforate-between vertical pairs, an 8c Medallion imperforate pair, a set of imperforate-between vertical pairs of the Scroll issue including the $1 in an upper left corner pair, followed by many coils and booklet panes (including a selection of complete Centennial booklets) to the end. The back of the book is equally strong, with complete air mails, complete special delivery (missing E1 but includes an E3a pair), F1-F3, first two dues sets complete, basic set of War Tax as well as almost complete overprinted officials. The collection has a good number of never hinged items, including some high value items, as well as a higher than usual overall quality including a good proportion that are very fine centered (a very few early imperforates were not counted in the catalogue value because of faults, and expect the odd gum offsets, hinge remnants, etc). A great opportunity to enhance one's own collection, or to acquire a large amount of good and useful material for the reseller. Rsv. $8,000. (Image)

image Lot of Used Stock in One Carton, consisting of thousands of stamps sorted by issue, in approximately 500 envelopes. While we noted some earlier issues such as 3c SQs, Jubilee (#53), as well as low denominations from the Leafs and Numerals issues, level of completeness increased significantly from the Mufti issue onwards to 1978 (Capex). Back of the book is represented by postage dues and some federal revenues. A cursory look revealed nicer than usual postmarks and manageable duplication. Unchecked for varieties. Also included is one box of modern Canada stamps "on paper" (1.5 kg), about 400 commercially used Canada covers from the 1970s and 1980s mostly #10 size, and approximately 100 postage due receipts (1970s). Clean lot. (Image)

Cat No: Collection

image Collection of Mint in 5 Lighthouse Hingeless Albums with Slipcases, 1893 to 2009, starts with two shades of the 8c Small Queen, 20c and 50c Widow Weeds and Jubilees complete to the $1 (the $1 is NH). The collection is then complete from the QV Leafs to the end, including all the Lighthouse-included varieties (noting for example #1764b perf change $500 and many more), booklets, mini-sheets, booklet panes, coil singles, etc., and also includes a few extras such as the 38c Regiment in a plate block plus a plate block on FDC. The collection appears to be never hinged from at least the Arch issues to the end, with many NH before that as well (we catalogued all issues before the Arch issue as hinged, rest as NH). A cursory spot check revealed a few stamps with gum glazing, the 3c brown Admiral is used, 10c plum Admiral has no gum, etc, still a very nice collection, especially for its high level of completeness in period. The collection is overall of very fine quality, a few early issues may have small toning spots on the perfs. The Scott catalogue value up to and including 1951 only is $18,564, and we estimate the face value after that to be well over $1,000 (not counting those items and varieties with high catalogue value after 1951). The collection is housed in four albums, a fifth empty album is included (these retail quite a bit). (Image)

image Collection of Mint Never Hinged from 1917 to 2017, all in 5 like-new Lighthouse hingeless albums with matching slipcase. Appears complete to 2011 and then missing only a handful of issues onwards to the end. A cursory look revealed a collection comprised of high quality mint never hinged stamps, hand picked for their centering throughout the collection, with die cut issues from the quarterly packs populating the most recent years. Back of the book is represented by the complete airmail and overprinted official sets ("G" and "O.H.M.S."), special delivery (only missing E2), some postage dues and Newfoundland issues. The catalogue value for up to 1951 is $9,043, all counted as very fine never hinged although a few are fine. We estimate the face value after 1951 to be well above $1,500 plus roughly $2,000 worth of albums and slipcases. Scans show a glimpse of the collection, inspect to better appreciate. (Image)
