1820 (Dec. 7), Cover front from Lord Bath to Viscount Sidmouth, with a return address of simply "Lord Bath" (peerage has its privileges), a cover front addressed to The Viscount Sidmouth at "Secretary of States Office, Whitehall, London"; faint "FROME" straightline postmark with mileage (110?) below, partly overstruck by red single-ring (morning service) Crowned Circle "Free/7 DE 7/1820" postmark; Bath (Thomas Thynne, 2nd Marquess of Bath, 1765-1837) was at the time Lord Lieutenant of Somerset; Viscount Sidmouth (Henry Addington, 1757-1844) had previously served as Prime Minister 1801-04 and was then Secretary of State, Very Fine.
