Belgium & Colonies, A Belle Gem of a Collection, 1849-2005. Whatever your interest, it's here, mounted in three Scott Specialty albums in slipcases (two slipcases are bordering on split-cases, but the binders and pages are all pristine); fresh and clean throughout, with Belgium (including WWI German Occupation issues) mostly used and Colonies (Congo, German East Africa overprints, Ruanda-Urundi and Katanga) mostly mint; volume three includes glassines with Belgian Telegraph and Telephone stamps, for which Scott does not provide spaces; Belgium runs nearly complete (we noted three series missing) from #1, and includes (used, unless noted) full-face Leopolds apparently complete, 1890s-1910s with labels used (with labels still firmly attached), #124-137, 171 (appears never hinged), B106 mint, B125-B131, B144-B150, B156-B162, B168, B178-B179, Dues, Newspapers, and an impressive amassing of Parcel Posts; Colonies include Congo with the popular Pictorials (normal and overprinted), and Ruanda-Urundi and Katanga offer long runs of full sets, Fine to Very Fine with much better, definitely one to add to your must-see list. Estimate $2,000 - 3,000. Suggested Bid $2,000-3,000 (Image)
