image [Medical] Seabury & Johnson, Medical Supplies & Pharmacal Laboratories, "beautiful all-over multicolor illustrated advertising cover to Birdsboro, Pa. with a 2¢ First Bureau tied by a neat Chicago flag cancel, May 28, 1897; included is the original letter on an Seabury & Johnson letterhead from Lewis Robie, a drug salesman and part-time Stamp Dealer, specializing in Match & Medicine stamps. The letter explains that Robie could not trade for the stamps a customer is offering him but would be "pleased to purchase 25 each of the kind you offer U.S.M.Co. & Franklin Match at ¼ of catalogue"; the cover is reduced somewhat at the left and the letter is repaired along the folds; but otherwise a very attractive and unusual view into the business of a 19th century stamp dealer.
