1994, 29¢ Native American Culture, from Recalled Legends sheet (Scott 2870e), single used from the American Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Ohio State University in Columbus; on large-sized cover with rubber-stamped corner card return address, the stamp tied by four-barred "Air Force Postal Service/APO AA 34030" handstamp cancel dated Feb 1 (year incompletely struck-up); stamp clean, cover with central horizontal and vertical folds, lightly toned at bottom, Very Fine, one of only two known Recalled Legends uses from Brazil (the other "Sacagawea"); accompanied by Mar. 7 and Mar. 21, 1994 Linn's with front-page story or notice of these uses, with undated (1994?) A.P.S. certificate. Shipping charges apply - weight 1 lbs. According to Linn's, five panes of the Recalled Legends stamps were purchased in Princeton, NJ, by Rita Monteiro of the Fulbright Commission Office of Educational Advising in Rio, while on vacation in the US in January 1994.
