A MAGNIFICENT ORIGINAL GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 90¢ 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE, WITH EXCEPTIONAL COLOR, LARGE MARGINS AND POST OFFICE FRESH CONDITION.
The 90¢ 1869 Pictorial stamp has been long treasured by collectors for its exquisite engraving and the dignified portrayal of Abraham Lincoln. Nevertheless, collectors have faced frustration in their pursuit of prime specimens from this issue. Given the considerable high value of 90¢ in 1869, only a limited number of unused stamps were preserved for future collectors. The stamp presented here, boasting full original gum, rich color, and choice centering, likely ranks amongst the finest surviving unused 90¢ 1869 stamps.
