image 1851, 1¢ blue, type Ib (Scott 5A), neat manuscript penstroke cancellation, desirable example on a flawless state; Pos. 4R1E with vivid color and detailed impression; woefully undervalued in Scott Specialized catalog with a manuscript cancellation, as a normally used example lists for $7,500.00, Very Fine, with 1977 and 1986 P.F. certificates for pair, from which this rarely offered type Ib stamp was taken, this being the left stamp in the pair.
