Comprises 34 covers, the majority from various 1937 flights to the Shetlands and Orkneys (covers present going both from the mainland to the islands and vice-versa), but including all three known covers from the return leg of the 1947 Third North Ronaldsay Emergency Flight (from North Ronaldsay to Kirkwall)—previously unrecorded. Note numerous newspaper clippings documenting the flights (including Dec. 24, 1936 article on emergency flight to North Ronaldsay due to volume of packages), meter-franked covers, signed and double-signed covers, and more besides.
