A key FDC for the person with the courage to collect all the cities for this issue., with 1995 A.P.E.X. certificate.

3704 72 image1925, ½¢ Nathan Hale & 1½¢ Harding, flat "A" April 13 First Day Covers (Scott 72), 72 of ½¢ Nathan Hale consisting of 67 with block of four tied by "Cristobal Apr. 13, 1925" duplex cancels with handstamped address & 5 with block of four tied by "Catun C.Z. Apr. 13, 1925" duplex cancels with typed address (4 on penalty envelopes; 2 faulty), and 53 of 1½¢ Harding with stamp tied by "Cristobal Apr. 13, 1925" machine cancel, all 124 first day covers are uncacheted and addressed to Nathan L. Levy, Gatun, Canal Zone, Panama, Very Fine, Levy was the postmaster at Gatun and prepared these two days before the official FDC but collectors consider both dates as first days. The 1½¢ Harding is only priced in Scott as a combination with the ½¢ Hale. We used the same value. Total Scott value $9,640 ($5,400 for Hale & $4,240 for Harding). 3705 96 image1926, 2¢ Sesquicentennial Exposition First Day Cover Accumulation (Scott 96), 19 with July 4 1926 cancels and 229 with July 6 1926 cancels, July 4 are 16 Balboa and 3 Pedro Miguel, July 6 are 21 Ancon, 23 Balboa Heights, 13 Cristobal, 148 Pedro Miguel and 24 Catun, uncacheted, July 4 are mostly typed address of C.K. Harris in Balboa and July 6 are mostly all either typed or handstamped address of Nathan L. Levy at Gatun, also includes one cover with stamp affixed but not canceled, Very Fine, Levy was the postmaster at Gatun and prepared these for the first day sales were authorized which was Sunday July 4, but the post office was closed both Sunday the 4th and Monday the 5th, so the first day the stamp could be purchased at the post office was Tuesday July 6. Thus, most collectors consider both July 4 and July 6 as first days. Only the official July 6 date is priced in Scott, so we used the same value for all 248 covers. Shipping charges apply - weight 2.2 lbs.
